This device, based on spectral cytometry, is equipped with 4 lasers: blue, yellow, red and violet. It has a total of 51 detectors: 3 for size and morphology, and 48 fluorescence detectors for much more efficient fluorochrome separation than a conventional cytometer.
This instrument is equipped with four nozzles (70 µm: 64 psi, 80 kHz; 85 µm: 35 psi, 48 kHz; 100 µm: 18.5 psi, 25 kHz; 130 µm: 8 psi, 13 kHz) allowing for sorting at varying speeds while preserving viability.
It can sort up to six populations simultaneously in 5 mL and 1.5 mL tubes, two populations in 15 mL tubes, and in 6, 12, 24, 48, and 96-well plates.
The temperature of the samples to be sorted and the sorted fractions can be adjusted (4, 10, 20, 25, 30, 37 °C).
